So we have recently taken up the adventurous sport of rock climbing. Right now, Joy is temporarily out of climbing commission, but soon she will be right back at it.
This is the first post of many to highlight our climbing adventures. So here is the visual journey of my climb up 'A Rose is a Rose' (5.10a). I haven't quite conquered this one without a fall yet, but I'm sure I'll have it pretty soon.

OK, here I am in the crack. This is definitely the crux of this route. Can I make it?

Oooh!! I just fell. Gotta chalk up my hands and beat this crack.
OK, so I'm back on it. This time I will not fall.
I made it past the crack! Just hug the rock and you'll be OK through this next part.
I slipped in here, but I think I'll get it next time.

yaya! rock climbing is the best. ever.
5.10 wow, that's a tough one! My rock climbing experience consists of the quarry over by the dollar theater. :)
